Guide to Selling at Auction
• Decide on when you want to sell your property and which auctions are available. Sale dates and venues are available on the website www.mpalimited.co.uk
• Contact Merseyside Property Auctions as soon as possible as closing dates for all entries tends to be at least 6 weeks prior to the auction.
• Ask Merseyside Property Auctions to carry out a free, no obligation auction appraisal. MPA will advise you on the best method of sale for your property and provide you with a recommended Guide Price. It is important to set the guide at a realistic price which is attractive to buyers. This will generate competitive bidding in the auction room, and ensure the best price is achieved.
• After discussing the Guide Price and confirming your interest with the auctioneers to proceed you will need to sign MPA’s Terms and Conditions.
• An Entrance Fee will be charged and proof of identity will be required.
• Draft particulars of sale will be sent for your approval or amendment prior to the closing date. It is important for you to check these thoroughly.
• You will need to provide Merseyside Property Auctions with details of your solicitors in order that contact can be made for the legal pack to be prepared.
• Provide the auction team with viewing arrangements so as to avoid any delay in marketing your property.
• Completion of the sale usually takes place 28 days after the date of the auction unless varied in the Special Conditions.
